iOS Architect / Lead iOS Consultant Toronto, ON (Hybrid) $96/hr C2C Contract-to-Hire Opportunity We're partnering with a major Canadian financial services organisation undergoing a significant digital transformation of its mobile banking platform. As part of continued investment across their mobile engineering function, they are looking for an experienced iOS Architect to help shape the future direction of one of Canada's largest consumer mobile applications. This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys operating at both the strategic and hands-on level, combining architecture, solution design and software engineering within a large-scale enterprise environment. What You'll Be Doing Define and influence mobile architecture and technical strategy. Design scalable, secure and maintainable iOS solutions. Remain hands-on with development while providing architectural leadership. Partner closely with Product Owners, UX teams, Business Analysts, QA teams and backend engineering groups. Guide technical decision-making across multiple initiatives and workstreams. Support the ongoing evolution of a large, customer-facing mobile banking application. Contribute to best practices, code quality and engineering standards. Required Experience Extensive commercial iOS development experience. Strong expertise with: Swift SwiftUI UIKit Objective-C Previous experience in solution design, technical architecture or lead-level engineering roles. Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Experience working within large-scale enterprise environments. Nice To Have Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP). Mobile banking or wider financial services experience. Experience supporting large-scale consumer-facing applications. We're Looking For Someone Who Can think beyond individual features and understand long-term platform strategy. Is comfortable influencing technical direction across multiple teams. Possesses excellent communication and prioritisation skills. Enjoys solving complex architectural challenges while remaining close to the code. Working Arrangement Hybrid working model. In-office every Wednesday. In-office on the third Friday of each month. Modern downtown Toronto office location. Contract Details Contract-to-hire opportunity. Up to $96/hr.
