Opportunity
Conklin Resource Development Advisory Committee (CRDAC) is facilitating its 2026 annual Conklin Métis Culture Camp event at Wassasi Park, located 6 kilometers east of Conklin. The CRDAC is seeking to fill various temporary positions to help us facilitate this years’ camp.
Position Type/Hours
This is a temporary casual labour position working three days from Friday, August 7, Saturday, August 8, and Sunday, August 9, on an ‘as needed’ basis. This position will report to CRDAC’s Environmental & Events Coordinator or designee. This position is subject to source and tax deductions and will be paid on a scheduled payroll run.
Responsibilities
The Camp Labourer will assist in cleaning the camp; help maintain the garbage and fire throughout the day. The Camp Labourer may be requested to assist in any repairs or other general tasks to help facilitate the event on an ‘as needed’ basis.
Requirements
Ability to lift heavy materials and conduct work in a safe and proper manner. Possess adequate understanding of setting up a camp. Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to help direct or lead volunteers. Ability to remain neutral in conflicts and diffuse situations in a professional and mature manner.
Working Conditions
Moderate physical demands (e.g., heavy lifting) will require physical stamina and endurance.
