About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Review manufacturing plans, engineering drawings, and CATIA models to understand part requirements
- Analyze drawings and create detailed inspection plans based on specifications and critical features
- Support updates to HDR in collaboration with the Final Inspection team
- Work with CMM inspectors to review and update CMM inspection criteria and measurement requirements
- Compare design intent with inspection methods to ensure proper verification of key characteristics
- Identify gaps or inconsistencies between drawings, models, and inspection processes
- Assist in standardizing inspection documentation and improving clarity of inspection requirements
- Participate in team discussions and provide input on quality and inspection improvements
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related technical program
- Basic understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
- Familiarity with CAD tools (CATIA preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking skills
- Ability to interpret technical data and communicate findings clearly
- Comfortable working with cross-functional teams (quality, inspection, manufacturing)
