We are now accepting applications for election workers for the 2026 general local election.

Applicants must be:

• At least 16 years old.
• Eligible to work in British Columbia.
• Available to attend a training session in September or October, 2026.
• Available to work from approximately 7 a.m. until 9 p.m. on Saturday, October 17 (general voting day).
• Able to serve as a non-partisan representative of the City of Courtenay (not expressly supporting, endorsing, or opposing candidates, political parties, or taking positions on political issues).
• You may also be able to work on Wednesday, October 7 and October 14, advance voting days, with hours of approximately 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Election workers will be paid the Comox Valley living wage of $25.35 per hour, plus applicable overtime rates. Presiding election officials will be paid $40.35 per hour, plus applicable overtime rates. Apply using the link below.
