This is an existing position for a 6 month contract.
The Compliance Data Analyst will support the Distribution Compliance program by maintaining distribution Compliance data systems and databases, and conducting various licensed agents reviews and oversight programs. As a Compliance Data Analyst you will …
- Gather risk data for agents from multiple sources and analyze it to select agents eligible for the Agent Practice Review (APR) using approved sampling criteria.
- Enhance the agent selection process by integrating new tools and IT architecture and optimize the review process.
- Develop Power BI reports to visually represent APR outcomes, providing deeper insights and trends for senior management.
- Review agents sales practices and market conduct according to standard APR criteria and identify gaps and draft reports including observations, recommendations and action plans.
- Communicate findings of reviews and monitor remediation actions
- Support the Distribution Compliance team by accurately updating the Compliance Risk Matrix (CRM), and recording and monitoring advisor incidents in compliance systems.
- Identify gaps and work with Information Technology teams to propose effective solutions from a compliance perspective and ensure compliance insights are integrated into the process.
- Keep the ARDB (Agent Risk Database) well-maintained and ensure it aligns with compliance records.
- Regularly update agent databases and the agent report. Ensure they operate correctly and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
- Respond to all internal Distribution Compliance inquiries related to data analytics.
What we are looking for…
- 5 years’ experience in Financial Services working within a Compliance team
- 3-5 years’ experience working in data analytics
- Skilled in data analytics with a comprehensive grasp of data architecture.
- Technical knowledge and skills with information and data management related tools
- Experience in testing and troubleshooting roles, an asset
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Power BI and Microsoft packages.
- Effective time management skills with the ability to manage multiple and changing priorities
- An ability to work independently and proactively seek assistance when needed
- Natural and proactive tendency to look for more efficient and effective ways to accomplish tasks.
- Bilingualism in English and French is an asset
- SQL knowledge is an asset
- Experience in audit or control testing, an asset.
What we pay…
Pay range: $35/hr - $45/hr
