Data Analytical Specialist/Scientist
About the role
What will I be doing? Support the technical design and execution of data analytics to enhance audit scoping, testing, monitoring and reporting. Apply automation, AI, and data analytics to enhance audit processes to improve efficiency, assess risks and controls, and provide better audit insights. Present complex data findings in a clear and compelling manner using data visualization tools and dashboards. Continuously develop and maintain scalable and reusable analytics that enhance fraud detection and control testing. Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and potential control gaps. Review source data for quality issues, inconsistencies, and anomalies, and work with audit teams and business leads to resolve gaps or limitations. Support the documentation of analytics processes, logic, methodologies, assumptions, and data sources to ensure transparency, reproducibility, and auditability. Must Haves 5 years experience - Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and Python for querying, manipulating, validating, and analyzing data. 5 years experience and skill with preparing analyses, summaries, memos, and reports using computer applications including Power-BI, Databricks, and MS suite. 5 years experience - Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and potential control gaps Location: Up to 3 days onsite (subject to HM’s discretion) Public Sector Experience: must have, nice to have or not necessary
