Foothills School Division is currently seeking Educational Assistants to assist in the Junior Kindergarten program. Part and full time positions are available in our schools offering Junior Kindergarten programming as follows: Spitzee School, Ecole Joe Clark School, Big Rock School, École Percy Pegler School and Heritage Heights School.

The full-time and part-time hours will be scheduled according to the various program schedules and determined by the successful candidate's availability and the needs of the program.

The successful candidates will have the ability to work and play with our children by program unit funding (PUF) to celebrate day to day achievements while keeping Individual Learning Plan goals in mind. The ability to foster a safe and caring learning environment is essential for our youngest students. The establishment of a good working relationship with parents and community is also critical. A strong background and expertise in working with students with a wide range of physical, cognitive, social and emotional differences, as well as personal assistance in toileting may be required. Preference will be given to candidates that have experience working with children who have Autism and an Educational Assistant Certificate.
