The External Development team in the Experiences (XO) org is seeking a Technical Artist.
Summary
The Technical Artist, External Development is responsible for all vendor connectivity efforts, including network setup, pipeline validation, and training external teams. Your success means ensuring that all vendors are connected, producing content, and following established workflows. Additionally, you will implement improvements to vendor setup to accelerate onboarding and asset production. This is a hybrid role with 3 days a week in office. You will report to the External Development Director.
Responsibilities:
- Be the primary technical liaison for onboarding and off-boarding efforts between EA’s internal tools and external vendors, ensuring seamless integration and workflow alignment.
- Implement vendor setup, including access management, tool configuration, and software licensing, to facilitate game capture and cinematic asset creation.
- Develop and document best practices for external vendor support, detailing account setups, asset pipeline workflows, and troubleshooting protocols.
- Collaborate with EA’s IT, Frostbite, and Marketing teams to resolve OS technical challenges related to game capture, real-time cinematic workflows, and custom content creation.
- Find and address workflow bottlenecks, implementing technical solutions to improve vendor connectivity.
- Support the validation of vendor deliverables, ensuring adherence to EA’s technical specifications and quality standards for marketing content.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in a Technical Artist role, focusing on Perforce setup, network connectivity, and user account management.
- Understand Digital Content Creation (DCC) tools such as Maya, Motion Builder, and Houdini with a focus on resolving asset pipeline issues.
- Proficiency in configuring and maintaining Perforce, including proxy setup and access control.
- Experience with Python scripting or other relevant programming languages to support tool development and workflow optimization.
- You can diagnose network connectivity issues and resolve technical challenges related to asset management.
- You can document technical processes and provide guidance to external vendors.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs).
PAY RANGES
* British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) *$74,100 - $102,000 CAD
