Teaching a course introduction to building and controlling interactive devices for multimedia art and DIY projects. Build robots, new musical instruments, wearable computers and more. Learn about sensots and actuators: WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS; hardware platforms such as the Arduino; and software platforms such as Processing and MaxMSP.
Position Requirements
The successful candidate must hold a Master’s degree or PhD; MFA with a focus in Creative Technologies is preferred.
Evidence of experience being able to teach how to build and control interactive devices for multimedia art and DIY projects, building robots, new musical instruments,wearable computers and more through a Creative Technologies lens is required;
Experience teaching at a university level is required;
Experience managing classroom technologies for teaching.
Physical Demands Pay Grade Faculty Sessional Salary Range As per URFA Collective Agreement Status Other Work Hours
CTCH 223/CS 207 class is scheduled on Friday from 1430-1715 on-campus delivery.
