Description:Course Number and Title: ECO365H1F International Monetary Economics (Section LEC0101) Course Description: Introduction to open economy macroeconomics and international finance. The core objective of the course is to develop macroeconomic models of open economies that can be applied towards gaining an understanding of recent events such as US deficits, financial crises, China's exchange rate policy and the Euro. Estimated course enrolment: 120 Estimated TA support: 120 (contingent upon enrolment and funding) Class Schedule Class Schedule: Monday 15:00-17:00; Thursday 15:00-16:00 The delivery method for this course is currently in person. Please note that, in keeping with current circumstances, the course delivery method may change as determined by the Faculty or the Department. Sessional dates of appointment: September 1 - December 31, 2026 Salary (per section): $9,997.48 Sessional Lecturer I $10,699.22 Sessional Lecturer I – Long Term $10,699.22 Sessional Lecturer II $10,953.96 Sessional Lecturer II – Long Term $10,953.96 Sessional Lecturer III $11,228.90 Sessional Lecturer III – Long Term Please note that should rates stipulated in the collective agreement vary from rates stated in this posting, the rates stated in the collective agreement shall prevail. Minimum qualifications:
PhD in Economics Prior experience teaching this course (or a similar course) at the university level Ability and experience teaching large classes
Preferred qualifications:
Demonstrated excellence in teaching over four or more years

Preparation and delivery of lectures in this course Supervision of teaching assistant(s) assigned to course Preparation, supervision and grading of tests and examinations in accordance with University regulations Providing scheduled office hours for academic counseling of students
