Job Description: Under the direction of the Primary Health Care Manager, the Respiratory Therapist is responsible for general and specialized respiratory care in the assigned areas, as well as assisting with special projects and maintaining respiratory therapy equipment. The incumbent will promote the delivery of patient centred care through the application of professional standards. The position will have specific responsibilities related to patient needs and clinical knowledge.

Licenses

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support Certificate (BCLS)
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license

Education

  • Graduate from a Respiratory Therapy training program accredited by the CSRT
  • Successful completion of an exam approved by the CSRT

Other Education and Training

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support Certificate (BCLS)
  • Experience with Adult education to other care providers an asset

Other Information

  • Registered/eligible with Saskatchewan College of Respiratory Therapist (SCRT)
  • Requires a valid driver’s license. May require access to a vehicle for work.
  • Travel required to various community sites within Regina PHC Networks
  • Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement
