We’re Hiring!

We are currently looking to fill a contract position for a Warehouse Supervisor at our Leamington ON facility.

What You'll Do:

• Provides coaching, hands-on training and follow-up to new hires; however, training, development and coaching occurs regularly throughout the department.
• Planning, delegating, motivating, and leading the team daily to improve performance, while ensuring work is done efficiently, correctly, and up to quality standards.
• Collaborating with the Warehouse Manager and Warehouse Supervisors to ensure proper allocation of staff and work.
• Communicate with other departments to ensure seamless continuity between production, sales, greenhouse, and other departments as needed.
• Communicate and address variances, quality issues and concerns with relevant departments to help identify the causes and implement sustainable corrective action.
• Ensuring production lines are organized, prepared, cleaned, and maintained to Health and Safety standards and ensuring only quality products are packaged.
• Support the Warehouse Manager to ensure operations remain within budget for labor and throughout; monitor and measure performance to minimize downtime, reduce costs i.e. reducing hours and improve quality and efficiencies
• Monitor the working environment to ensure compliance of Good Manufacturing Practices, Health and Safety, Food Safety, HACCP, and all company policies and procedures.
• Providing feedback to the warehouse manager regarding employee performance, with respect to evaluations. and if necessary; applying progressive discipline processes for non-compliances in a respectful manner.
• Monitoring and reporting maintenance needs to the Maintenance Department or performing minor repairs as needed.
• Maintaining and completing pre-operational and post cleaning procedure checklists for production lines.
• Approve/deny employee time off and timecards within deadlines required to ensure smooth completion of payroll.
• Responsible for reviewing employee labor tracking system (Priva) as well as re-training employees if necessary.
• Maintaining confidentiality of all proprietary information, Company data, and personnel information.
• Completely required documentation, records and checklists; submit to appropriate management personnel.
• Must ensure and comply with all Health and Safety, Food Safety, Bio Security, and Nature Fresh Policies and Procedures.

What You Bring:

• Supervisor experience is an asset but not a requirement.
• Excellent oral communication skills are essential. English is required.
• Must be committed to continuous learning with a demonstrated ability to motivate, encourage and lead teams.
• Must have a strong commitment to quality and providing good customer service.
• Excellent attention to detail, ability to follow directions, and problem-solving to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Must maintain a professional and positive attitude at all times.
• Good teamwork and management skills; able to work well with employees and collaborate with all departments and outside vendors.
• Must possess a sense of urgency to work in a time sensitive, fast-paced team environment.
• Ability to embrace and adapt to the rapid growth, innovation, and development of the company.
• Spanish is an asset.

What To Expect:

• The warehouses may be hot, cold, or humid, at any time during the production season.
• Working with a wide array of people and cultures in a team setting.
• Available to work Monday through Saturday; flexibility is required to meet the changes in production levels. Hours will fluctuate according to the ongoing needs of the business
• This position is very active. Most of the day would consist of walking/standing.
• Travel between locations may be required.
• There may be an occasional need for some moderate lifting (when needed).
• Must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
