Production Support Engineer - OCP
About the role
We're looking for an experienced Production Support Engineer to ensure system reliability and availability for critical banking platforms. The ideal candidate brings strong incident response experience, hands-on infrastructure management skills, and the ability to proactively monitor and improve system performance.
What You'll Do
Implement and maintain monitoring and alerting systems to proactively identify potential issues Respond to incidents and outages, diagnose problems, and implement solutions to minimize downtime Automate repetitive tasks and processes to improve operational efficiency Manage and maintain underlying infrastructure including servers, networks, and cloud resources Plan for future capacity needs to ensure systems can handle anticipated workloads Develop and maintain release engineering processes for software updates and deployments Collaborate closely with developers, operations teams, and stakeholders to ensure system reliability Maintain clear documentation of systems, processes, and procedures Identify areas for improvement and drive continuous enhancement of system performance and reliability
What You Bring
8+ years of experience in production support handling production incidents Strong knowledge of OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) and Windows environments Experience with monitoring tools such as Dynatrace Solid experience across Windows and Linux operating systems Scripting skills in Shell, Python, or PowerShell Database management experience with SQL and MongoDB Experience with container services such as Kubernetes Experience with disaster recovery planning and execution Eligibility for a mandatory background check
Nice to have
Experience supporting production environments in a banking or financial services setting Familiarity with additional monitoring or observability tooling Prior experience in release engineering for regulated environments
Work setup
Onsite in Toronto, ON, 4 days per week In-person interview required 6+ month contract English proficiency required
