About the role
The Peace River School Division is seeking applications for Part-Time (0.90 f.t.e.) Educational Assistant at Nampa Public School. This position will commence on Aug. 27, 2026 and continue until June 29, 2027. The successful candidate will be providing literacy and numeracy interventions for K-6 students along with support in a grade K-2 classroom.
Nampa Public School is located in the town of Nampa approximately 450 kms northwest of Edmonton. The school services students in grades K-6.
Qualifications
Educational Assistant Certificate or equivalent. Experience and/or training working with student in school setting. Ability to work with children with varied ages, skills level, needs and abilities
Skills
Willingness to be part of a learning team, take direction and follow programs without direct supervision. Willingness to attend training and professional development opportunities on individual learning and complex learning needs. Ability to be flexible to the changing classroom environment and individual child needs Ability to manage and organize programming and keep records. Good communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with teachers.

This is a union position under the collective agreement between the
Rate Of Pay
$22.59 to $28.02 per hour (dependent on experience and education in accordance with the collective agreement between the CUPE Local 4839 and the Peace River School Division).
