Course Description:  Introduction to the fundamentals of Hebrew grammar and syntax. Emphasis on the development of oral and writing skills.

Sessional Lecturer I - $9,820.70  

Sessional Lecturer I Long-Term - $10,510.04  

Sessional Lecturer II - $10,510.04 

Sessional Lecturer II Long-Term - $10,760.28  

Sessional Lecturer III - $10,760.28  

Sessional Lecturer III Long-Term - $11,030.36

Minimum Qualifications: 

PhD in Religion or a related field 

(Near-)native competence in spoken and written Hebrew. 

Ability to address the themes of the course to which the application is being made 

Demonstrated expertise in cultural studies and experience teaching university-level courses is required. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

Demonstrated excellence in teaching this course or a closely related university-level course is preferred. 

Extensive knowledge of the subject area is highly desirable 

Description of Duties: 

Develop a detailed syllabus and curriculum for the course 

Presenting weekly lectures and classes as appropriate 

Evaluate student performance 

Grading papers and exams 

Hold office hours and meet with students as they request 

Handling other pedagogical and administrative tasks ordinarily associated with an undergraduate course
