About the role
Position Summary
Tacten is currently seeking a Site Administrator to join our team at various sites across Northern Alberta, with a primary focus on operations and turn-around support for our client site near Fort McMurray, AB! This is a site-based position responsible for daily client billing, coordinating travel and accommodations, maintaining administrative records, and supporting daily operational needs. Position Details:
Position Type: Temporary Full-Time, site-based position supporting the upcoming turnaround season. Must be comfortable working in a remote, industrial environment. Start Date: ASAP Travel & Accommodations: Camp Accommodations and Flights are provided from Alberta Hubs - Calgary or Edmonton.
Responsibilities
Process and submit site payroll data accurately and on time Client billing, including collecting and entering required documentation Perform data entry, tracking, and reporting using Microsoft Excel and other internal systems Coordinate and book flights, camp or hotel accommodations in accordance with company travel policies Provide timely travel documentation including booking confirmations, itineraries, maps, directions, and instructions Support the project team with general administrative tasks and day-to-day coordination
Requirements
Skills & Qualifications: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Outlook; ability to manage spreadsheets, perform data entry, and work with PDFs and scanned documents Strong attention to detail and accuracy in administrative and financial tasks Experience with payroll and billing processes in a field or industrial environment is an asset Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, team-based setting Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills Familiarity with client booking or scheduling systems is considered an asset Ability to interpret and follow company policies and procedures effectively Education & Experience: College Diploma or Certificate in Business, Office Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience) Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar administrative role, preferably in an industrial site setting Experience working in unionized environments is an asset Must be able to pass a pre-access D&A test
