Job Duties

  1. Verify course content and links, updating resources as necessary.

  2. Be flexible and responsive to learner needs using appropriate instructional methodologies within an online learning environment.

  3. Provide appropriate support, evaluation, assessment, and feedback to students on the required learning platform (Brightspace).

  4. Manage the online learning platform to ensure an optimum learning environment.

  5. Work co-operatively in an interdependent team environment.

  6. Follow policies and procedures adopted by Saskatchewan Polytechnic.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND EXPERIENCE

Description

Required Qualifications

  1. Recognized relevant four-year degree: Bachelor of Education (including a minor in Special Education, 15 credit hour Micro-credential in Special Education/Inclusive Education or a Certificate in Inclusive Education), Bachelor of Child and Youth Studies, or a Bachelor’s in Child Development. 2. Two years recent and relevant experience working in an inclusive setting supporting children with Autism.

  2. Demonstrated competence and recent experience in the use of the internet, online teaching, email, MS Office Suite software, and the ability to learn and adapt to changing technology.

  3. Ability to function as a team member in an ever-changing environment.
