The Position:
We are looking for an independent contractor to teach at our Campbell River Community Connections program location. Community Connections (CC) are in person learning opportunities that are typically one-half to one full day per week, usually between 12 and 24 weeks. At CC, students participate in meaningful and hands-on activities in a class setting with a home-education flavour led by teachers with some community or parent instructors.

Social Studies (Grades 4-9 ), PE and Project-Based Learning (Grades K-9)

0.132 FTE, one day on-site per week (Wednesday) for 24 weeks at Discovery Church in Campbell River , BC

2026-27 school year

Qualifications:
BC Teacher Certification is an asset

Previous experience teaching relevant subjects

Previous experience teaching CC/CC+ is preferred

Ability to build relationships and work relationally with students, parents, coordinator and other team members

Flexible attitude towards adapting to students and situation

What we offer:
$6,780 – $7,390 for the school year, based on 0. 132 FTE and depending on experience and certifications
