Housekeeper Casual at Garrison Green

As a member of the Environmental Services Team, the Housekeepers is to provide prompt, courteous and quality housekeeping services in order to achieve a clean, safe and healthy environment for community residents and staff.

Responsibilities (includes but not limited to):

Resident laundry and bed linen changes as requested/assigned;

• Clean community hallways, lounges, offices and common areas
• Wash/disinfect common area washrooms and replenish supplies;
• Maintain all hand hygiene stations;
• Empty and clean all common area and office waste containers
• Sweep outside front entrance;
• Clean patio?s and put out/away cushions;
• Clean all entrance and interior glass doors;
• Keep elevators clean and door guides vacuumed;
• Spot clean carpets and all upholstered furniture;
• Sweep and mop all stairwells, including dusting and cleaning all railings;
• Spot wash walls;
• Regularly disinfect all high-touch points, such as elevator call buttons, railings, doorknobs, etc.
• Resident suite high and low touch cleaning as required in outbreak;

In addition, housekeepers will:

• Keep housekeeping closets clean and tidy
• Keep cleaning carts locked, clean and tidy
• Maintain all cleaning equipment and report problems
• Do general Laundry as required
• Thoroughly clean vacant suites and refresh regularly
• Attend to emergency cleaning situations including in-suite
• Complete and submit required forms/documentation
• Project work as assigned
• Various other duties as assigned.

*Qualifications *

• Previous housekeeping experience an asset
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Must be able to perform tasks with minimal supervision.

HOURS OF WORK: Weekdays, evenings and weekends to meet the dining needs of residents. Casual positions available.

Physical Requirements

• Must be physically able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs. (13.60 kg.)
• Must be able to stand/walk for 4 hours continuously.
