About the role

The Intern, Events and Entertainment, supports the day-to-day operations of OSEG’s Events & Entertainment department. This individual will be relied on to provide support in all areas of the events at TD Place from start to finish, including executing announcements, on-sales, assisting in marketing plans, event planning, logistics, and provision of event day support.  

Students who wish to participate in an internship opportunity with Ottawa Sports & Entertainment Group must be a part of an accredited post-secondary program where fulfillment of internship credit is required for graduation.   

  • This internship is a full-time position for four (4) months from September 2026 to December 2026.
  • Candidates must be enrolled in a post-secondary education program offering class credits for the internship placement - this is an unpaid position.  

What you’ll do:

  • Assist in the planning and execution for events such as the Ottawa Christmas Market, Panda game, Colonel By Classic and more.
  • Conduct ongoing research (tour routing, artist agents, promoters, comparable venues).
  • Provide administrative support (file organization, meeting minutes, event orders, permit applications, feedback collection).
  • Assist in developing internal labour estimates.
  • Support in production advances. 

What’s needed:

  • Enrolled in a post-secondary program related, but not limited, to Event Management, Communication/Marketing, Sports Management, Physical Education, Recreation and Leisure.
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude, with the ability and desire to work as part of a multifunctional team.
  • A proactive nature and ability to adapt.
  • Highly organized and attentive to detail;
  • Great written and verbal communication skills with a high level of professionalism.
  • Demonstrate the values that align with the OSEG Foundation mission.
  • Exceptional time management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
