About the role

Program Advisor (Contract, 12 months)

Guide decisions, create impact, and elevate professional development experiences

CPA Ontario is not like other organizations

We operate at a rare intersection, both regulator and membership body, responsible for upholding the integrity of the CPA designation while supporting more than 105,000 members and 19,000 students across the province. Our work sits between business and the public interest, between the evolving demands of industry and the standards that make trust possible.

Careers built here tend to look different because the work itself is different. You are not simply contributing to an organization. You are helping shape a profession that touches nearly every sector of the economy at a moment when expectations, technology, and the nature of work are all being rewritten.

About This Opportunity:

Join CPA Ontario’s Professional Development team as a Program Advisor and play a key role in helping professionals and organizations unlock their learning potential. In this dynamic, client-facing role, you’ll guide prospective learners and corporate partners through their decision-making journey - building relationships, understanding their goals, and recommending programs that deliver real career impact.

You’ll bring programs to life by clearly communicating their value, outcomes, and fit, while proactively addressing questions and making it easy for clients to move forward with confidence. Beyond individual learners, you’ll collaborate with organizational stakeholders to identify workforce development needs and design tailored training solutions that drive results.

This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys consultative conversations, thrives in a goal-oriented environment, and takes pride in delivering an exceptional experience - from first inquiry through to registration - while contributing to enrollment growth and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Lead Conversion & Corporate Sales

  • Own the full sales cycle, converting inbound leads and driving enrollment and revenue across professional certificate programs
  • Identify and close corporate training opportunities while driving upsell and cross-sell across the PD portfolio
  • Consistently achieve or exceed individual enrollment and revenue targets

Pipeline Management & Member Engagement

  • Build, manage, and progress a strong pipeline of individual learners and corporate clients using CRM insights
  • Proactively engage prospects, remove barriers to purchase, and foster long-term relationships to drive repeat business

Sales Strategy & Forecasting

  • Develop and execute targeted recruitment strategies, optimizing conversion rates through ongoing pipeline analysis
  • Contribute to accurate forecasting based on pipeline health and expected close rates

Outbound Campaigns & Collaboration

  • Partner with Marketing to execute lead-generation campaigns, conduct targeted outreach, and refine strategy based on performance insights

To Be Successful You Need:

  • A post-secondary degree or diploma in business administration or other field with a minimum of 3to 5years of professional work experience in customer service and sales. Experience in enrollment management or related roles in a professional development or education setting is preferred.
  • Digitally fluent in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and SharePoint. Committed to ongoing training and a desire to learn new technology and continually expand upon knowledge and expertise.
  • A skilled communicator (verbally and written) with excellent interpersonal, presentation, and negotiating skills. Able to converse with prospects in a clear and concise manner.
  • A personable relationship builder, skilled at consultative selling and client service.
  • Able to work in collaboration with others and independently.
  • Able to work in a self-directed manner with minimal supervision.
  • Adept at time-management, organizational and multi-tasking with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet simultaneous deadlines while meeting targets.

Salary Range

  • The starting annual salary range for this position is between$66,300- $82,900per annum, based on your qualifications, experience, and internal parity. Exceptions may be considered with further review.

Why Join CPA Ontario?

  • We support your well-being through industry-leading benefits, mental health resources, savings programs, and a sustainable approach to how work gets done.
  • We are committed to inclusion as a core part of how we operate, not as an afterthought.
  • We have a hybrid working environment, with three days a week on-site, complemented by 2 days of work-from-home time. We are intentional about that: the work we do benefit from being together. We want those days you work from home to be comfortable and offer a one-time bonus towards a home office when you start.
  • We invest in your growth through learning and professional development opportunities, stretch projects, secondments, and genuine paths for career progression.
  • We move quickly. The pace reflects the profession we serve; it can be demanding, but the work matters, and the team around you is invested in the same outcomes you have.
