   Job Posting for Sessional LecturerThis job is posted in accordance with the CUPE 3902 Unit 3 Collective Agreement   Course: GGR321H5F - Advanced GIScience (Sci)   Description: Problem solving using geographic information systems (GIS). Essential distributed computing aspects of GIS are presented. Among topics covered are the use of logic in spatial analysis, line-of-sight analysis, route selection, site selection, and landscape analysis. Hands-on assignments are emphasized. [24L/24P]   Class Schedule:LEC0101 Tuesdays 11:00 - 13:00   PRA0101 Thursdays 09:00 - 11:00PRA0102 Thursdays 09:00 - 11:00PRA0103 Thursdays 11:00 - 13:00PRA0104 Thursdays 11:00 - 13:00   Estimated enrolment: 96   TA support: will be subject to final enrollment figures   Sessional dates of appointment: September 1 - December 30, 2026   Salary: In accordance with the current CUPE 3902 Unit 3 Collective Agreement, rate of pay is $9,997.48 for a Half (F/S) course, $19,994.95 for a full (Y) course. All pay rates are inclusive of vacation pay. Please note that should rates stipulated in the collective agreement vary from rates stated in this posting, the rates stated in the collective agreement shall prevail.   Qualifications: PhD or PhD candidate in Geomatics or a related field. Expertise required in ArcGISPro and Python3/ArcPy.  Demonstrated evidence of teaching excellence would be an asset.
