Hiring Unit:
Department of Pathology

Position Summary:

  • Coordinate and schedule scientific lecture series and departmental events, including Research Day.
  • Organize catering for events and specific event related purchases
  • Manage departmental purchasing and maintain records of transactions
  • Monitor and respond to inquiries via the department’s general communication email for upcoming events.
  • Manage the Department Website
  • Draft reports (annual reports etc.)
  • Assist in the creation and distribution of the department newsletter.
  • Support day-to-day operations and special projects as assigned by the Chair.
  • Support the chair with Departmental activities

Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities

  • Proven communications and events experience, preferably in an academic or healthcare setting.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and email/calendar tools.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities.
  • Knowledge of Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences policies would be an asset.
