About the role

Aquent is partnering with a leading financial institution, a cornerstone of the financial services industry, dedicated to innovation and client-centric solutions. This organization impacts millions of lives daily by providing essential services and continuously evolving its digital offerings. As part of this forward-thinking team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the digital experiences that define how users interact with critical financial products and services, making a tangible difference in their daily lives. We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate individual to join a dynamic team as a content-focused product designer. In this impactful role, you will be instrumental in crafting the conversations that millions of users have with digital products, designing intuitive and comprehensive end-to-end user journeys from initial acquisition through seamless onboarding. This is a unique opportunity to act as a strategic peer, driving the maturity of content design practices and championing user experience standards within a large, complex enterprise environment.

What You’ll Do

Shape Digital Conversations and Product Environments

Co-create intuitive user flows, wireframes, and documentation alongside Interaction Designers, contributing to the foundational design of digital products. Own the complete content experience for full-lifecycle journeys, from initial user acquisition strategies to comprehensive digital onboarding processes. Demonstrate ad-hoc adaptability, comfortably pivoting and making rapid content updates to meet real-time project demands.

Drive Bilingual Experiences And Cross-Functional Collaboration

Manage and design content natively in both English and French, supporting a diverse client base with consistent and high-quality dual-language experiences. Actively handle and support content translations, ensuring message consistency and cultural relevance across both languages. Partner closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, and Legal/Regulatory teams to ensure digital conversations are compliant, transparent, and technically viable. Work efficiently and independently, driving alignment across local teams even with remote management, showcasing strong autonomous execution skills.

Lead Content Strategy, Governance & Research

Articulate the strategic rationale behind design decisions, advocating for content design to evolve from a reactive service to a formal, mature practice. Collaborate with Design Researchers, Testing Leads, and Data Analysts to conduct usability tests, A/B tests, and comprehension metrics, informing design choices with data. Embed Accessibility (WCAG 2.1/2.2) and Inclusive Design principles into the fabric of all content creations, ensuring products are accessible to all users.

What You’ll Bring

Minimum Qualifications

5–10 years of professional experience as a UX Content Designer, UX Writer, or Content-focused Product Designer within a dedicated digital product team. True professional fluency and bilingualism in both English and French (written and verbal), with the proven ability to perform translations. A strong portfolio showcasing your thought process, end-to-end UX artifacts, interaction flows, documentation, and conversational design. Dual-language examples are a significant plus. Proven comfort navigating ambiguity within large, complex enterprise environments. Extensive experience working in agile team environments, closely collaborating with UI and Interaction Designers.
