The Good News Broadcasting Association of Canada (GNBAC) is the organizational umbrella of Back to the Bible Canada and Laugh Again ministries. GNBAC is dedicated to leading people closer in their relationship with Jesus through Bible teaching and engagement ministries.
Using every available form of media, we are committed to faithfully and creatively sharing the Gospel message in ways that encourage spiritual growth, biblical understanding, and Christian maturity.
Opportunity
GNBAC is seeking an experienced Independent Graphic Design Contractor to provide creative design services on a project-by-project basis.
This opportunity is ideal for a designer who enjoys flexible work arrangements and can deliver high-quality creative work while meeting project deadlines. Projects will vary in size and scope throughout the year and may include print, digital, web, and social media design.
Compensation will be hourly, with the estimated number of hours agreed upon before each project begins.
Responsibilities
The successful contractor will be asked to:
- Design high-quality print and digital materials that support the ministry’s mission
- Prepare print-ready files, including proper use of CMYK, bleeds, margins, and production specifications
- Create layouts for books, brochures, magazines, ministry resources, and promotional materials
- Design graphics for websites, email campaigns, social media, and digital advertising
- Maintain and strengthen the visual identity and branding standards of GNBAC and its ministries
- Collaborate with members of the Creative Team to develop effective communication pieces
- Revise designs based on feedback while maintaining project timelines
- Manage multiple projects and deliver work within agreed deadlines
Qualifications
Applicants should demonstrate:
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
- Excellent print production knowledge and file preparation
- Strong typography, layout, and visual communication skills
- Experience designing for both print and digital platforms
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with project stakeholders
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication skills
- A commitment to producing high-quality work with careful attention to detail
- Formal graphic design education and/or equivalent professional experience
Preferred Experience
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in:
- Ministry or non-profit communications
- Brand management
- Marketing and production workflows
- Multi-page publication design
- Social media and digital marketing assets
Applicants should:
- Be legally entitled to work in Canada.
- Provide a current portfolio demonstrating relevant design work.
- Include a brief summary of their print production experience with their application.
- Be able to invoice GNBAC as an independent contractor.
Compensation
- Hourly rate as stated in posting.
- Hours will be determined individually for each project.
- Project scope, timelines, and estimated hours will be agreed upon prior to commencing work.
