As a Video Editor, you will play a pivotal role in shaping their visual narrative, directly contributing to engaging training content that empowers and educates.
Are you a master video editor with a passion for crafting compelling visual stories? Our client is seeking a talented Video Editor to join their dynamic team and make a significant impact on their training content initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative professional to leverage their expertise in Final Cut Pro X, motion graphics, and emerging AI video technologies to produce engaging and high-quality educational materials. You will be instrumental in transforming concepts into visually stunning and informative videos, directly influencing how audiences learn and interact with content.
What You’ll Do
Edit video content using Final Cut Pro X (FCPX), with a strong emphasis on creating high-quality motion graphics that enhance understanding and engagement. Collaborate closely with scriptwriters and other team members to understand content objectives and ensure a clear, cohesive, and engaging narrative across all video projects. Utilize Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator for graphic design and the creation of essential visual elements, ensuring brand consistency and aesthetic appeal. Manage multiple projects simultaneously, demonstrating exceptional organizational skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Stay at the forefront of video editing trends and software advancements, continuously bringing fresh ideas and techniques to the team. Utilize AI video editing software (such as Google Flow, Canva Magic Video, etc.) to generate prompts for creating video clips and images, which will then be exported for further refinement and editing.
What You’ll Bring
You must be based in Canada and eligible for T4 employment. You must be available to work consistent hours from 9 AM – 5 PM EST, Monday through Friday, as completing assignments outside these hours is not an option. You must provide your own laptop and your own Final Cut Pro X license. 5+ years of experience as a video editor, with a proven track record of creating compelling training content. An absolute mastery of FCPX, including advanced editing techniques and the creation of sophisticated motion graphics. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop and Illustrator, for graphic design and asset creation. A keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of visual storytelling principles. Exceptional organizational skills with a proven ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and consistently meet project deadlines. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, enabling seamless teamwork and feedback integration. A self-starter mentality with a “hop in and go” attitude, requiring minimal onboarding and ready to contribute from day one.
Bonus Points
Experience with After Effects or similar motion graphics software. Previous experience with AI video generating/editing programs (such as Google Flow, Canva Magic Video, OpenAI LTX, etc.), with the ability to generate effective prompts that deliver video meeting creative and strategic needs. A comprehensive portfolio showcasing your video editing skills and ability to create engaging training content.
