Job Description: The Social Worker - BSW practices in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to support clients of the target group(s), significant others and those at risk. The Social Worker - BSW will have a thorough working knowledge of the Saskatchewan HIV Strategy and the Provincial Leadership Case Management Standards. The Social Worker - BSW will incorporate the Four Strategic Pillars of the Saskatchewan HIV Strategy into daily practice.

Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in social work
Licenses:
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
Membership:
- Registered or eligible for registration with Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers (SASW)
Knowledge and Abilities:
- Knowledge of the Sask Public Health Act & Communicable Disease Control Regs
- Knowledge of social determinants of health affecting vulnerable populations
- Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
- Demonstrates leadership and organizational skills
- "Ability to work independently to plan and prioritize workload demands. "
- Knowledge in the harm reduction model
- Knowledge of client exp. & client support required along the continuum of care
- Competencies: Leadership Skills
- Has demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrates critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of population health approach to health promotion/prevention
- Knowledge in principles/practices/concepts of community health/development
- Has demonstrated strong critical thinking and analytical skills
- Ability to initiate and exercise critical thinking and decision-making
- Commitment to continued learning and professional development.
- Knowledge & skill in assessment, treatment & education related to sexual health
- Knowledge of HIPA
