About the role
Seeking Resort Care Attendants for the winter season to work in the Kids Centre (a lesson teaching facility accommodating children 3 to 12 years of age).
Duties and responsibilities
- Deliver a memorable alpine experience for internal and external customers.
- Provide supervision and care for the needs of children in the Kids Centre.
- Build an environment where all staff, children and guardians feel welcome and safe.
- Act as role model for young children to pattern good behavior.
- Work with documentation related to children's safety (e.g. sign in/ sign out using registration platform, allergy awareness postings)
- Assist in children’s hygiene and toileting routines.
- Openly communicate with peers and leadership to report and make safe potential dangers.
- Openly communicate with peers and leadership regarding children's needs (e.g. medication, allergies, specific parental requests).
- Supervise children who are unable or unwilling to participate in lessons.
- Clean and maintain facility hygiene standards.
- Implement and participate in daily program/activities.
- Move around the resort to bring children back to the Kids Centre.
- Remain familiar with all disciplinary, behavioral and emergency policies and procedures.
- Act as a liaison between guests and leadership to communicate concerns, programming improvements etc.
- Assist in appropriate action for separated or ill students; including communicating with ski patrol and parents for injured or sick children or late pickups. Support the KC leadership team in the daily operational effectiveness of KC.

- Canadian Ski Instructors Alliance (CSIA) or Canadian Association of Snowboard Instructors (CASI) level 1 certification or international equivalent are an asset.
- Kitchen experience and possession of BC Foodsafe Level 1 with a willingness to deputize in the KC kitchen are an asset.
- Experience working in a licensed daycare facility is an asset. Experience working with children in an organized setting is an asset.
Physical demands
Including sitting, standing, walking, crouching, kneeling, lifting or carrying up to 40lbs, reaching, working outdoors.

Fulltime expected to work between 30-40 hours most weeks. Note that this is a volume based role, hours are dependent on enrollments.

Hourly wage $20.50
