About the role
PACT (Pearson Accelerator Construction Team) is a General Partnership of Alberici, Amico, Kenaidan, and Obayashi, supported by design partners Egis, Mott MacDonald, and Weston Williamson + Partners. Together, we are delivering Accelerator, a major program of Pearson LIFT (Long-term Investment in Facilities and Terminals), Toronto Pearson's infrastructure development plan. This multi-year program is designed to address immediate passenger growth demands while preparing Canada’s largest airport for the future of air travel—including critical upgrades to airfield and infrastructure, greenhouse gas reduction initiatives, modernization of Terminals 1 and 3, and the creation of a world-class passenger experience.
JOB SUMMARY The Quality Student will assist the Quality Assurance and Quality Control teams in maintaining high standards of execution and documentation across all PACT sub-programs. You will help ensure that construction deliverables meet stringent design, ISO-compliant, and aviation standards.
This is a 12-16 month co-op student opportunity starting in September 2026.
RESPONSIBILITIES Assist Quality Inspectors and QA Coordinators with field inspections and the tracking of construction deficiencies. Support the documentation and tracking of Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and corrective actions. Help coordinate material testing and maintain logs of test results and submittals. Assist in organizing and managing quality control documentation, including Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and turnover packages. Participate in quality audits and help prepare quality performance reports for project leadership. WORKING CONDITIONS The position will be based at our office in Mississauga, Ontario, with visits to the Airport site as required. Your work schedule will be Monday to Friday during regular office or site hours. DESIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, COMPETENCIES Currently enrolled in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quality Assurance, or a related post-secondary program. Basic understanding of quality control processes, construction materials, and reading engineering drawings. Strong administrative and documentation skills with high attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, capable of interacting effectively with site crews, engineers, and management. Strong organizational skills and an eagerness to learn in a fast-paced project team.
