emergiTEL is seeking an experienced Technology Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) Manager to join our client's team in the financial services industry. If you're passionate about strengthening governance frameworks, managing technology risk, and driving regulatory compliance, this is an excellent opportunity to make an impact. Hourly Rate: $100- $110/hr Location: Calgary & Edmonton, Canada
Key Responsibilities 🔹 Lead and coordinate Risk & Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) activities across technology and business functions. 🔹 Assess technology controls for design and operating effectiveness against regulatory and organizational requirements. 🔹 Identify technology, operational, and regulatory risks and recommend practical risk mitigation strategies. 🔹 Document assessments, evidence, findings, and remediation plans within enterprise GRC platforms. 🔹 Monitor control deficiencies, issue remediation, and evolving regulatory requirements. 🔹 Partner with Technology, Risk, Compliance, and Internal Audit teams to strengthen governance and control maturity. 🔹 Prepare executive-level risk reporting, insights, and recommendations for senior leadership. 🔹 Promote a strong risk culture by advising stakeholders on governance, compliance, and first-line risk ownership.
What We're Looking For ✔ 5–7 years of experience in Technology GRC, Technology Risk, IT Audit, Operational Risk, Regulatory Compliance, or Technology Governance. ✔ Hands-on experience delivering RCSA, control assessments, and risk & compliance programs. ✔ Strong understanding of governance frameworks, internal controls, regulatory requirements, issue management, and the Three Lines Model. ✔ Experience evaluating control design, testing operating effectiveness, and documenting defensible audit-ready conclusions. ✔ Experience with enterprise GRC platforms such as ServiceNow GRC, Archer, MetricStream, or similar solutions. ✔ Excellent stakeholder management, facilitation, analytical, and communication skills. ✔ Experience using data analytics, automation, or AI to enhance GRC processes is an asset.
Preferred Qualifications 🎓 Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Risk Management, Accounting, or a related discipline. Preferred certifications: • CISA • CISM • CIA • CRMA • CISSP
