The Anthropology Department invites applications for the following teaching position to be offered in the 2026-27 session.

Course Name/Number: Anthropology 4R03 / Advanced Bioarchaeology and Skeletal Biology

Term: Winter 2027 (Jan 4, 2027 – Apr 7, 2027)

Wage Rate*: $9,435.73 as per Schedule A of the CUPE, Local 3906, Unit 2 Collective Agreement

• Supplemented Fees- 15.02(a) The employee may be eligible to receive supplemented fees in accordance with Schedule C of the Collective Agreement. The actual rate of pay when in excess of the base rate of pay is deemed to include any supplemented fees owing, to the extent of the excess amount. If the actual rate of pay is less than the sum of the base rate of pay and the supplemented fees owing, then the employee shall receive the difference.

Course Description

The analysis of human skeletal samples, including such topics as paleopathology, paleodemography, paleonutrition and biological distance analyses.

Required Qualifications

The successful candidate will have (or be near completion of) a Ph.D. in Anthropology or a related discipline. They will be able to provide evidence of successful university teaching at the undergraduate level.

Pay Transparency Statement

The starting salary will not be less than $17,845.36 per 6 units, or $8,922.68 per 3 units.
