The Peterborough Victoria Northumberland and Clarington Catholic District School Board invites applications from external candidates for the position of Summer Experience Student. The funding for the position has been provided by the Ontario Public Service through the Summer Employment Opportunity.
The successful student will be preparing for start-up, provide administrative support to the Summer School Principals, and others. Once the school program commences, the focus of the work will shift from organizational to working more directly with students in the role of a tutor.
Work locations: The PVNC Catholic Education Centre, St. Peter Catholic Secondary School, other summer school locations as necessary.
Rate of Pay: $20.00 per hour X 6 hours per day
Responsibilities:
- Ordering, sorting, packing and distributing resources and materials;
- Communicating with parents – fielding enquiries;
- Data entry;
- Inventory of supplies, resources and materials following the conclusion of the programming.
- Supporting students in the summer learning environment
- Other duties as assigned by the summer school principals.
