Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) Technical Architect Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid) Experience: 8–10 Years Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) Technical Architect to lead the architecture, design, and hands-on delivery of enterprise-scale eCommerce solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience building and supporting large-scale Salesforce Commerce Cloud platforms, driving architectural decisions, and establishing best practices across multi-brand and multi-instance environments. This role requires a strong technical leader who can provide end-to-end ownership of solution architecture while actively contributing to development, performance optimization, platform governance, and enterprise integrations. Key Responsibilities Lead the architecture, design, and hands-on implementation of enterprise Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) solutions. Design scalable and maintainable cartridge architecture while ensuring adherence to SFCC best practices. Develop and optimize SCAPI and OCAPI integrations to support modern commerce experiences. Drive platform performance tuning, code optimization, and production stability for high-traffic eCommerce applications. Own technical decisions throughout the software development lifecycle, from solution design to deployment and production support. Architect and govern multi-brand, multi-instance SFCC environments with clearly defined shared and brand-specific code strategies. Establish cartridge inheritance models and reusable development frameworks to maximize scalability and maintainability. Define and standardize CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, and development governance across multiple engineering teams. Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to establish scalable architecture standards and engineering best practices. Contribute to Salesforce OMS integration strategy, including order routing, fulfillment workflows, and connected commerce architecture. Support post-purchase commerce capabilities by designing seamless integrations between Salesforce OMS and SFCC storefronts. Required Skills & Qualifications 8–10 years of experience in Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) development and architecture. Extensive hands-on experience delivering and supporting large-scale production SFCC platforms. Strong expertise in: SFCC Cartridge Architecture SCAPI & OCAPI Design and Development Performance Tuning & Optimization SFCC Best Practices and Platform Architecture Proven experience designing and governing multi-brand and multi-instance SFCC environments. Experience defining shared versus brand-specific code strategies and cartridge inheritance models. Strong knowledge of CI/CD implementation and deployment automation for SFCC platforms. Experience mentoring engineering teams and driving architectural governance. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Preferred Skills Experience with Salesforce Order Management System (OMS). Knowledge of: Order Routing Fulfillment Workflows Connected Commerce Architecture SFCC–OMS Integration Design Experience working within enterprise-scale digital commerce ecosystems.
