Accounts Payable Clerk 1 Month Contract Vancouver- ONSITE $25-30/ hourly

Responsibilities: Process high-volume invoices (approximately 400 per month), including invoice verification, data entry, and General Ledger (GL) coding. Scan, upload, and maintain accurate invoice records and supporting documentation using systems such as Timberscan. Manage invoice backlogs and prioritize urgent and time-sensitive payments to ensure deadlines are met. Prepare and process vendor payments through cheque and EFT methods. Generate and distribute vendor remittances in a timely and accurate manner. Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve invoice or payment discrepancies professionally and efficiently. Collaborate with internal teams to obtain invoice approvals and supporting documentation. Maintain accurate and organized accounts payable records in accordance with company policies and procedures. Support month-end accounts payable activities, including reconciliations and reporting requirements. Ensure accuracy, compliance, and completeness across all accounts payable transactions. Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to enhance accounts payable processes and efficiency.

Qualifications: 2+ years of Accounts Payable or high-volume invoice processing experience. Strong understanding of General Ledger (GL) coding and basic accounting principles. Proven ability to manage high workloads while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. Experience using accounting systems and financial software. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Proactive approach with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
