Job Details:

Position Title: Dual Credit Operations Coordinator

Status: Appendix D

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Faculty/Department: Faculty of Liberal Arts and Sciences

Campus/Location: North (This is a hybrid position – the successful applicant must be comfortable working on campus at minimum four (4) days per week.)

Salary: Payband H (Start $37.34 - Max $43.18) Progression through the payband is in accordance with the increments in the payband as outline in the Full-Time Support Staff Collective Agreement based on actual service in the payband.

Duration of Need: Until August 2027

About the Dual Credit Operations Coordinator Role:

The Dual Credit Operations Coordinator plays a vital role in expanding access to college-level education for high school students, supporting their academic success, and fostering collaboration between high schools and Humber Polytechnic. The Dual Credit Operations Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the dual credit program which includes servicing and supporting over 600 dual credit learners, per year. This role involves establishing and maintaining partnerships with 8 schoolboards across the GTA, managing program logistics to ensure a seamless experience for our learners and our schoolboard partners, coordinating course offerings with Faculties across Humber, and providing support to students, schoolboard partners and faculty participating in the program. The Dual Credit Operations Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring the successful implementation and operation of the dual credit program.

Duties and Responsibilities Include:

  • Develop and implement operational plans to expand the dual credit program
  • Manage course codes, seat allocation and ministry database (EDCS) updates
  • Coordinate classroom, equipment and supply needs
  • Organize meetings, student visits and act as a liaison between high schools and College
  • Assist students in navigating college systems and services
  • Organizes and facilitates orientation and end of semester celebrations
  • Order and distribute textbooks and learning materials
  • Maintain online resources and share key updates throughout the student lifecycle
  • Coordinates access to other Humber services and supports
  • Act as primary contact for schoolboard partners, teachers and counselors
  • Coordinate program logistics with high school partners
  • Lead ongoing communication and meetings to address any issues or concerns

Education

  • The successful candidate will have a minimum 3 year diploma/degree or equivalent in Business, Communications, Entrepreneurship, Finance, Human Resources, Information Systems, Marketing or any other related fields of study.

Experience/Skills

  • Minimum of three (3) years’ progressive administrative or student advising experience in a post-secondary environment.
  • Experience with compiling and analyzing research-based data from various sources, producing reports and identifying trends from data to develop solutions and strategies.
  • Experience with special events.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access and PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Excellent time management and multitasking skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently on assigned tasks with minimum supervision.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to work in a team environment.
  • Proven excellent verbal and written communication skills.
