The Opportunity We are currently seeking a Virtual Mental Health Therapist / Counsellor (RSW, OT, or CCC) – Eligible to practice in Manitoba to join our Teladoc Health Canada Mental Health Care (MHC) program, available to Canadians through employee and insurance benefits covered by Teladoc.
Position Summary Members can have virtual therapy sessions by phone or video, from wherever they feel most comfortable. They can conveniently connect and build ongoing relationships with mental health professionals of their choice, without the need to travel or wait at the provider’s office. The position is remote and virtual, you can add to your current clinical caseload or build an entire telemedicine mental health caseload depending on the provinces you are licensed in. By joining Teladoc, you will contribute to shaping the evolution of virtual care in Canada as an industry standard. Key Responsibilities Provide the best mental health care for individuals via both video and phone interactions Assess member’ mental health concerns and perform psychotherapy Support our Mental Health Care and Employee & Family Assistance Programs Maintain complete clinical records in a timely manner Maintain member confidentiality and comply with all federal, provincial and territorial health information privacy laws
About the Mental Health Care Program With Mental Health Care, individuals have easy access to quality care for a spectrum of mental health conditions, without the obstacles of conventional in-office options. The Therapist/ Counsellor will apply their experience providing evidence-based treatment through cognitive and behavioral therapies, experiential and humanistic therapies, psychodynamic therapies, somatic therapies and systemic, and collaborative therapeutic approaches.
Comprehensive Internal Support You will be supported by a dedicated multidisciplinary team, including a Consult Support unit to handle scheduling and technical coordination, freeing you to focus entirely on delivering therapies.
What You’ll Need Must be registered and in good standing with the appropriate professional regulatory college or national association in Manitoba, with a scope of practice that includes providing psychotherapy/counselling. Eligible designations include: Registered Social Worker (RSW), Registered Occupational Therapist (OT), or Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC).
Master’s degree in relevant field with 3-5 years’ experience in providing evidence-based treatment through cognitive and behavioral therapies, experiential and humanistic therapies, psychodynamic therapies, somatic therapies and systemic, and collaborative therapeutic approaches.

We highly encourage applications from candidates with deep experience, specialized training, or education in providing culturally safe mental health support to Indigenous individuals and communities.
Experience providing psychotherapeutic assessments and structured psychotherapy treatment for individuals presenting with a wide range of mental health conditions.
Additional training in the following therapeutic modalities: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness Therapy, Motivational Interviewing (MI).
Other therapeutic modalities are an asset
Experience providing services via information and communication technology (e.g. telehealth/telemedicine) preferred
Bilingual in French and English is an asset.
