About the role

Grade 7-9 Teacher Required

for Myrnam Outreach and Homeschool Centre

Myrnam Outreach and Homeschool Centre (MOHC) requires a 1.0 FTE temporary teacher commencing August 27, 2026, to June 29, 2027.

Located in Myrnam, Alberta, MOHC is a dynamic K-12 school serving approximately 120 students. Operating out of a shared, collaborative campus with New Myrnam School, the integrated staff supports traditional homeschooling, parent-directed, and teacher-directed learners.

The Successful Candidate Will

have a valid Alberta Teaching Certificate be committed to student-centered learning understand and correctly use formative/summative assessment practise effective differentiated instruction and balanced learning strategies to support diverse learning styles be collaborative and committed to building relationships with students, parents, and staff demonstrate a strong understanding of project based learning be skilled in utilizing technology to engage and connect both local and online learners.

In 1995, parent and community stakeholders initiated the amalgamation of five school boards into what is now St. Paul Education. In doing so, St. Paul Education became the only school division in Alberta to operate both separate and public schools under one board. The Division’s religious, linguistic and cultural diversity is a source of strength and pride.

We serve 3640 students (K-12), including Catholic, First Nation, Mennonite, Hutterite and Home Schooling learners. Our 19 definable school sites are staffed by approximately 235 FTE teaching staff and 300 support staff.
