Job type:  Contract (4 months with a potential opportunity to extend)

Salary: Hourly rate $19.75

We’re looking for an Inventory Management Co-op to join our team based in the 2777 Kingsway st office in Vancouver, BC. This individual will report to the Director, Financial Planning & Analysis.

Job Overview:  The Inventory Management Co-op will contribute to inventory accuracy and process excellence through hands-on work aligned to their discipline and learning goals. This on-site position offers practical exposure to real process engineering projects and an opportunity to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (Production, QA, Warehouse and Retail). The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality of the deliverables they’re assigned and for maintaining a good working relationship with their teammates while gaining industry experience. This position provides a unique opportunity to gain supply chain experience and exposure in a vertically integrated business from manufacturing through to retail.

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Participate in cycle count generation and reconciliation.
  • Support physical inventory counts and variance report generation.
  • Investigate inventory variances, identify root causes and suggest corrective action.
  • Maintain and organize inventory data sources and dashboards.
  • Aid in the creation of process map and SOPs.
  • Perform process adherence audits to ensure best practices are being followed.
  • Apply KAIZEN concept to reduce manual work, improve efficiency, and increase accuracy.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Involve in ERP user case review and testing.

You will be a good fit if you:

  • Are enrolled in a post-secondary program such as Global Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Operations & Management Engineering, Business Analytics, Quality and Process Management, Business Information Technology Management, Industrial Engineering or similar.
  • Are enrolled in a Co-op program.
  • Have experience using Excel, Power Query, Power BI, and analytical skills to analyze, identify opportunities, and implement process improvements.
  • Have passion for supply chain digital transformation and desire to apply knowledge to solve real-world problem.
  • Can adapt quickly and take initiative.
  • Have strong attention to detail and ability to apply due diligence.
  • Can meet the expected hours: 7.5 hours per week regular business hours (8:30-4:30 or similar) Monday to Friday
