Role: Backend Developer - JSON (Remote) Location: Remote (Work from Anywhere) Job Type: Contract Payout: $40 - $42/hour

Role Overview: We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking a Backend Engineer (JSON Schema Developer) to work on a Contract basis. The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining JSON Schema-based data models and APIs. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistency and accuracy in data validation and schema definitions.

Key Responsibilities: • Design, develop, and maintain JSON Schema definitions for API contracts and data models. • Validate JSON Schema compliance for incoming and outgoing data across microservices. • Collaborate with frontend and backend teams to integrate schema changes without disrupting existing workflows. • Troubleshoot and resolve schema-related issues in production environments. • Optimize schema performance and ensure alignment with evolving business requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications: • Proficiency in JSON Schema specification and validation tools like Ajv or JSON Schema Validator. • Experience with RESTful API design and implementation. • Strong knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript and backend frameworks such as Node.js or Express. • Familiarity with data modeling and database schemas (SQL/NoSQL). • Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code. • Experience with version control systems like Git. • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks. • Problem-solving skills with a focus on scalability and reliability.
