Business Intelligence Senior Advisor – IRP Location: VPC 500 Consumers Road, North York, ON Duration: 1 Year Schedule: Hybrid Model – In-Office (Monday, Tuesday & Thursday), Remote (Wednesday & Friday)

About the Role We are seeking a Senior Advisor, Business Intelligence to provide advanced data and analytics support for Gas initiatives. This role partners with internal clients to understand business needs, deliver analytical solutions, guide junior analysts, and strengthen data quality standards while advancing analytics capabilities through special projects and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Do Partner with internal teams to identify strategic business needs and shape customized analytical approaches. Lead complex analytical initiatives end-to-end, from problem definition to validated recommendations. Deliver high-quality analytics solutions, reports, and insights aligned with business priorities. Develop and validate statistical regression and prediction models for forecasting and performance optimization. Oversee evaluation of data sources, ensuring accuracy and reliability. Enhance dashboards and reporting solutions for actionable decision-making. Facilitate brainstorming sessions and workshops to drive innovative analytics applications. Communicate insights effectively across diverse audiences and organizational levels. Guide exploratory data analysis to uncover trends and opportunities. Build and maintain deep business and system knowledge within supported areas.

Who You Are Degree in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, IT, Statistics, or related field (advanced degree is an asset). 7+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, data analytics, or statistical analysis. Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python, R, and experience with complex data sets. Skilled in Azure Databricks and modern analytics platforms. Strong communication skills to translate complex analysis into clear business insights. Advanced proficiency in Excel, Power BI, Visio, GIS. Proven ability to collaborate across teams and manage multiple priorities. Experienced in leading workshops and presenting to stakeholders.

Preferred Assets: Predictive modelling, forecasting, and statistical analysis. Knowledge of machine learning techniques. Experience with data warehousing, data modelling, and cloud-based analytics platforms.

Working Conditions Typical office environment. Travel required (approx. 5%, mostly within Ontario).
