Job Description: Provides 24 hour coverage within the acute care setting to ensure access to safe patient care. This includes accountability for decision-making regarding placing and moving patients and resources within the system. Provides specific clinical direction to the patient placement component of admitting. Assess staffing needs and reassigns staff as necessary after hours. Functions as the management representative with respect to clinical and administrative problem solving after hours. Functions within a case management team that coordinates and evaluates timely access and coordination of care and/or services to patients, including movement to and from other areas. Interacts with patients, families, nurses, physicians and other health care staff including persons from other districts. Contributes to the development of processes and protocols and outcome measures.

- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)
Licenses
- Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)
Other Education and Training
- Nursing diploma is acceptable
