The School of Health and Life Sciences (SHLS) is looking for one energetic, positive, and detail-oriented individual to join the team supporting the Dean and Academic Strategy and Operations Manager (ASOM). This position will report to the ASOM and will provide both the Dean and the ASOM high-level executive, administrative and analytical support to achieve goals as outlined in NAIT’s strategic plan in alignment with NAIT’s Vision, Promises, and Values. As a partner in supporting the School plans and strategies, the scope of the work includes proactively acting on assigned projects, coordinating events, researching, and maintaining important internal and external contacts. This position will also prioritize meetings and information flow to ensure effective communications both within NAIT and externally and proactively coordinate the activities of the SHLS leadership teams.

Responsibilities
Manages external relation priorities; supports relationship management on behalf of and with the Dean/ASOM; coordinates activities with other NAIT departments and business units as required. Interfaces with both internal and external stakeholders on a regular basis, often independently, to support School Leadership Team success. Provide calendar management and email support for the Dean/ASOM. Develops and briefs the Dean/ASOM on events and meetings; coordinates and organizes their commitments by ensuring their calendars are reviewed in advance and then proactively coordinates the development of information to meet the requirements of meetings; prepares agendas, itineraries, meeting notices and related materials using own judgment and initiative; ensures deadlines are met and agenda items brought forward. Performs executive level administrative functions in support of the Dean/ASOM; assures that all travel and other expenses are accurate and complete and submits for approval and reimbursement. Develops key reports and communications on behalf of the Dean’s Office; tracks, coordinates and develops key reports including internal and external stakeholder reports, assigned PowerPoint presentations, School communications, etc.

Qualifications
Certificate in a related field, Diploma preferred. 5 years progressively responsible administrative level experience An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Applicants with education credentials earned outside of Canada should have their credentials evaluated by World Education Services (WES), International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS) or the Comparative Education Services (CES).
Classification – Administration Support VI
This position is covered by the Alberta Union of Provincial Employees (AUPE) Collective Agreement.
Remuneration
Refer to salary range noted on this posting, plus a comprehensive benefits package.
The compensation range for this job posting is : $55,488.68 - $72,486.96
