About the role
Canvas’ Commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion At Canvas we believe that it is vital to employ, engage, and empower people from a wide diversity of backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives. Without doing so, we would be unable to properly serve the communities we aim to reach, ensure fairness and equity across this organization, or assist in dismantling the harmful effects of white supremacy which continue to thrive in Toronto and beyond.
We strongly encourage applications from Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour, as well as 2SLGBTQIA+ people, survivors of sexual violence, and people who reflect a range of ages, abilities, and religions. Given that the majority of the work we do is in the Peel Region, we strongly encourage applications from those living in Mississauga, Brampton, or Caledon. We recognize non-Canadian work experience as being just as valid as Canadian work experience.
About Us Canvas is a registered charity based in Toronto seeking dedicated individuals to join a team of energetic and supportive staff members. Canvas provides empathy-based education on 2SLGBTQIA+ inclusion and consent. We envision a society in which all people are free to live authentically and have the tools to form safe, caring relationships. We believe that high-quality, proactive education is key to combatting homophobia, transphobia and sexual violence.
