Role Description The Part-Time Freelance Beauty Advisor will represent LYS Beauty on-site in Edmonton, AB, providing personalized product recommendations and exceptional customer service. In this role, you will engage with shoppers, perform product demonstrations, and educate customers on ingredients, shade matching, and application techniques. You will help maintain an inviting, organized product display and ensure testers and work areas meet hygiene and safety standards. The Beauty Advisor will also share brand values, gather customer feedback, and support sales goals by building genuine connections and fostering brand loyalty during scheduled shifts. Qualifications Strong customer engagement and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport quickly in a retail environment. Knowledge of cosmetics, skincare, and shade matching, including comfort explaining product benefits, ingredients, and application techniques. Sales and service mindset, with experience meeting or supporting retail or service-related targets considered an asset. Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both in-person and in writing, with diverse customers and team members. Self-motivated, reliable, and comfortable working independently on-site with minimal supervision. Prior experience as a beauty advisor, makeup artist, or in retail cosmetics or skincare is preferred but not required. Flexible availability for part-time, freelance scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and peak retail periods as needed.
