Position Summary:
We are hiring for 3 positions: 2 Full-time Permanent and 1 Temporary Contract for two years (May 2026 - May 2028)

Reporting to the Recruitment Manager, Global Recruitment, the International Recruitment Consultant plays a vital role on the Partnerships, Enrolment & External Relations (PEER) team. The incumbent drives international student recruitment and enrolment growth by implementing integrated strategies that include communications, business development, marketing, and enrolment management.

The role involves managing Centennial’s international presence across multiple regions through oversight of agent networks, multiple overseas offices, and staff. This includes ensuring compliance with institutional standards and government regulations, supervising staff, managing budgets, and navigating diverse HR and legal frameworks.

Collaboration and relationship-building are central to this role. The incumbent maintains strong connections with embassies, government agencies, educational institutions, and community partners, while sharing valuable insights on international market trends with the Manager and team. Advanced intercultural competency, strong analytical capability, demonstrated global sales or recruitment experience and, where applicable, multilingual skills are preferred for success in navigating complex cultural, political, and economic contexts.

Regular international travel is required to strengthen Centennial’s reputation as a global education provider. The Consultant contributes to ongoing assessment and improvement of recruitment strategies, ensuring a positive student experience and supporting the College’s commitment to excellence, integrity, and innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Implements international recruitment strategies to achieve enrolment and revenue targets.

  • Supports budget planning, tracking, and reporting for recruitment activities.

  • Builds and maintains relationships with a large volume of agents, overseas staff, and institutional partners.

  • Plans and executes targeted recruitment initiatives, including in market visits, international fairs, and virtual and in-person events.

  • Provides guidance to prospective students and agents on programs, admissions, and College policies.

  • Collaborates with Academic Faculties/Schools to ensure program relevancy, competitiveness, and market responsiveness across global regions.

  • Conducts market research and shares insights on international trends, visa approval rates, and student demand to inform strategic decisions.

  • Ensures compliance with Canadian immigration law, College policies, and local regulations abroad.

  • Supports admissions processes to ensure a smooth applicant-to-registrant transition and positive student experience.

  • Partners with Marketing to support geo-targeted campaigns, social medial promotions and promotional materials.

  • Represents Centennial College at international and domestic recruitment events on campus and actively contribute recruiting international students in Canada.

  • Supervises and supports offshore staff and manages the operation of overseas offices.

  • Promotes a positive, service-oriented student experience through all recruitment and admissions activities.

  • Identifies and supports new business development opportunities and joint venture partnerships.

Qualifications/Experience

  • Three (3) year diploma/degree or equivalent, Business Administration, International Relations, International Business, Education, Adult Education, Educational Administration.

  • Minimum three (3) years of recent, progressive experience in international sales or recruitment; in private or public sector with an in-depth understanding of post-secondary education

  • Relevant experience in post-secondary international admissions or assessing international educational equivalencies is required.

  • Demonstrated global experience across multiple international markets

  • Proven success implementing strategies that increase international student recruitment to Canada.

  • In-depth knowledge of international education systems, market entry, and recruitment practices.

  • Demonstrated experience in international student recruitment, admissions, and promotion.

  • Expertise in Canadian immigration regulations, educational pathways, and global higher education trends.

  • Advanced research and analytical skills to assess markets, identify opportunities, and mitigate risks.

  • Excellent communication, public speaking, and presentation skills for diverse audiences.

  • Demonstrated cross-cultural relationship-building, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills

  • Ability to manage high-volume tasks with accuracy, organization, and attention to detail.

  • Experience overseeing staff, delivering exceptional client service, and achieving recruitment targets.

  • Proficiency in multiple languages considered a strong asset.

  • Valid Ontario G driver’s license required.

Physical, Travel, and Scheduling Requirements

  • Ability to lift, carry, and transport materials weighing 20 lbs (9 kg) or more, including recruitment displays and collateral.

  • Extensive domestic and international travel required

  • Flexibility to work a non-standard and irregular schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on recruitment cycles and global time zones.

  • Ability to adapt to frequent schedule changes and high-intensity travel demands.
