About the Opportunity

We have an opportunity for a Student, Commercial Operations & Sales to join the Centerra Corporate team on a fixed-term basis, up to 12-months. This position is a hybrid role based at our Toronto, ON office.

The Student, Commercial Operations & Sales (Co-op) will support both the Commercial Operations and Sales teams through a variety of operational and analytical activities.

Reporting to the Manager, Commercial Operations, this role will assist with organizing and maintaining commercial information, preparing internal materials and reports, and supporting internal activities related to day‑to‑day commercial processes. By providing ongoing support across the commercial organization, this position helps improve efficiency and reduce operational workload for the team, while offering the student hands‑on exposure to commercial operations and sales support in a corporate environment.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Providing operational and analytical support to the Commercial Operations and Sales teams on a day‑to‑day basis.
• Assisting with the preparation, maintenance, and updating of internal reports and supporting materials used by the commercial organization.
• Organizing, validating, and maintaining commercial data and internal information to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Supporting commercial processes by assisting with internal documentation, basic process tracking, and updates as required.
• Communicating and coordinating effectively with Commercial Operations, Sales, and other internal stakeholders to gather and compile information for reporting and operational purposes.
• Leveraging standard office tools and AI‑enabled tools, where appropriate, to support reporting, documentation, and operational efficiency.
• Performing ad‑hoc tasks and special projects as requested by Commercial Operations and Sales teams to support commercial priorities on an ongoing basis.

About You

The following will be critical to successfully performing this role:

• Currently working towards a post‑secondary qualification in Business, Commerce, Analytics, Operations, Economics, or a related field.
• Strong interest in commercial operations, sales support, and business processes.
• Ability and willingness to learn internal systems (Internal Databases, reporting tools, and other commercial platforms).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work with data and maintain accurate records.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Good organizational skills and strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple ongoing tasks.
• Comfortable working in a team environment while supporting multiple priorities.
• Exposure to CRM systems or reporting tools would be considered an asset.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, or other AI‑based productivity tools as a support for analysis, documentation, or reporting tasks would be considered an asset.
