The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.  Position Overview Under the general supervision of the Coordinator, Manager, Director or designate in the Diagnostic Services portfolio, and while demonstrating a commitment to the Mission, Values and Management Philosophy of Shared Health. The Diagnostic Imaging(DI) Processing Clerk is responsible for screening requisitions for completeness and contacting referring physician offices, other health professionals or patients to gather missing data. Accurately and consistently reviewing requisitions based on urgency and modality requirements, and transcribing PDF into electronic files.Experience A minimum of 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years in a high volume computerized medical office including processing large volumes of requisitions while maintaining exceptional attention to detail is required. Experience with RightFax and Laserfiche considered an asset. Experience in a Diagnostic Imaging Department is considered an asset. Experience with RIS/PACS is considered an asset. Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate) Completion of a Medical Administrative Assistant Certificate or Medical Office Assistant Certificate from a recognized institute. Completion of high school education or equivalent, Manitoba standards required. Completion of medical terminology may be required. An equivalent combination of educational certificate or degree will be considered. Certification/Licensure/Registration Not Applicable Qualifications and Skills Demonstrates effective oral and written communications skills. Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), Teams, and Outlook an asset. Demonstrates strong organization and prioritizing skills. Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Demonstrates ability to develop constructive and cooperative working relationships in a multi-disciplinary team and with external agencies, groups and the public. Physical Requirements Ability to perform the essential physical requirements of the position. May be required to occasionally work extended hours. May encounter aggressive and/or agitated clients/visitors/staff.
