Our client is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join their finance team on a 12-month contract in Toronto. This is an outstanding opportunity for a highly analytical CPA with a strong foundation in public accounting, public company reporting, and internal controls. The successful candidate will bring Big 4 public accounting experience, expertise in SOX compliance, and hands-on experience with NetSuite ERP. This position works closely with senior finance leadership and plays a critical role in financial reporting, month-end close, audit support, and process improvement. Responsibilities Lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close process Prepare and review financial statements and supporting working papers Ensure compliance with IFRS and public company reporting requirements Manage and maintain SOX internal controls and documentation Partner with external auditors and coordinate annual audit activities Perform complex account reconciliations and financial analysis Review journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, FP&A, Tax, and Operations Utilize NetSuite ERP for financial reporting, reconciliations, and system improvements Assist with special projects and corporate finance initiatives as required Qualifications CPA designation (required) Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce 5+ years of progressive accounting experience Big 4 public accounting experience strongly preferred Experience working within a publicly traded company Strong knowledge of SOX compliance and internal controls Hands-on NetSuite ERP experience Strong understanding of IFRS and financial reporting Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Preferred Experience SEC or public company reporting Financial statement preparation External audit coordination ERP implementation or system optimization Process improvement initiatives Why Apply?
