Summary The on-air journalist research, writes, and presents news bulletins. The role involves monitoring sources, conducting interviews, broadcasting updates, coordinating with various team members, and sharing news content on digital platforms. This position requires excellent communication skills, on-air confidence, a thorough knowledge of current events, and the ability to stay focused in a dynamic and changing environment.Key Responsibilities
Cover events for radio and digital, conduct interviews, and write texts Deliver live or pre-recorded content as required for news bulletins Write articles for digital platforms Follow editorial standards and guidelines regarding accuracy, ethics, and legal issues Perform any other related tasks requested by the immediate supervisor Critical Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in journalism, film, communications, or equivalent Minimum of 3 years of experience in radio/television/web Proven experience in news reporting Strong writing and storytelling skills, and knowledge of local, national, and international news and current events Excellent writing and strong presentation skills Proven organizational skills and ability to work independently under tight deadlines Good editorial judgment, demonstrated ability to produce original and enterprise reporting Knowledge of BURLI is an asset Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions offered in Quebec.
