Role: Data Tools Specialist (Remote) Location: Remote (Work from Anywhere) Job Type: Contract Payout: $40 - $80/hour
Role Overview: One of our clients is seeking a Engineering & Data tools Specialist to contribute to the development and maintenance of internal tools and data infrastructure. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance data processing capabilities and streamline engineering workflows.
Key Responsibilities: • Design, develop, and maintain data tools and pipelines to support business operations and decision-making. • Optimize existing engineering tools for improved performance, scalability, and usability. • Collaborate with engineering and data teams to integrate new tools and technologies into workflows. • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in data processing systems, ensuring reliability and efficiency. • Document tool configurations, processes, and troubleshooting steps for team reference.
Required Skills & Qualifications: • Proficiency in Python, SQL, and data processing frameworks such as Pandas or PySpark. • Experience with data pipeline development, ETL processes, and data warehousing solutions. • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure for tool deployment and management. • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes. • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on automation and tooling improvements. • Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments and collaborating with distributed teams.
